We went there yesterday for lunch. the facilities are basic, but That’s not a big deal for us, though table was dirty and so were our saucers. however…
We were enjoying our lunch until my partner found a big hunk of metal in his corn fritters. Kind of put us off.
We approached the counter who whisked it away to the kitchen. And that was that. No apology, no offer of a refund, no offer of replacement food.
Have to say I’m unimpressed by that, and needless to say we wont be going there again.

What a find!!!Anyone heading out to Lyall Bay should definately call in to The Centennial Coffee House….this cafe has such a relaxed easy atmosphere,loads of quick options from the cabinet….like their incredibly tasty range of pies!!!I had the beef Thai red curry pie!sooooo good!

Greeted with friendly faces on arrival i instantly felt like a regular…just a stroll from the beach and somewhere to tie my dog up while i sat and ate at the tables outside.Coffee was really good and the meals i saw taken out were HUGE!!Busting with history on the area from the 1930′s and loads of retro memorabilia this place is such a cool place to visit!
