Ok so it’s not fancy… really at all. But the view is!!! Where this little gem really comes into its own is delivering just a good value feed. Steak was the best i’ve had in Wellington(and i’ve paid close to $50 at Foxglove and wasn’t as impressed as i was here)! And it’s not even a steak joint or one of those snobby places. My feed was $15… the salad bar while quite limited and relatively one dimensional in its flavour (i’m guessing to cater for the family pallet) was well stocked and turning over with the usual things you look for from a salad bar. It was a cracker of a meal! Well done guys! Awesome view that everyone can afford. Go there with the expectation to get full and you will be a happy camper! And so will your pocket!

It is not by choice that I dine here a couple of times a year when visiting Wellington for business conferences – it is favoured by my employers, probably on the grounds that the bill isn’t too large. After all, they are doing the paying! I have to agree that unlimited access to the salad bar allows diners to fill up their stomachs at a reasonable price, but really, the food is unexciting – and that’s being kind. Quite edible, but unexciting.
I have always found the staff to be friendly and quite efficient, though. -

If we could put a no star review we would. The food was very disappointing, menu looks good but the salads were slimy and unappetizing. could be a really nice place due to the really nice location and friendly staff, but the decor, cleanliness and food just let it down. I would not recommend you go here, worst food I have ever had in a restaurant.

Came to your restaurant today for lunch and enjoyed most of what I ate. The salads would be nicer if they didn’t come out of a bucket, but they were passable. The staff are pleasant and very very helpful. My one concern was the toilets, they need a really good clean, it was quite a shock to visit the restroom and see how dirty they are ,you could see the grime especially between the seat and lid and on the walls and backs of door. It was not from the morning or lunch trade one could see that it had been like that for a while. Dont think I would rush back

I took a party of 9 people on Sunday 6th November to celebrate my mother’s 82nd birthday. I have to say the deep fried options were not nice, mine was supposed to be chicken but i can only assume it was fried in the same oil as the fish and pork and anything else, as it tasted of nothing but tainted oil. It was plonked on top of some crispy noodles, the kind you can buy in a packet in the supermarket, which just came straight out the packet and on to the plate. The service was slow. The location is just wonderful and the prices are I guess OK, or would be if you were getting something really appealing, but in general I think so much more could be made of this restaurant. We spent about $270 and I would say only a couple of the main meals were really enjoyed. Won’t be rushing back.
