Heard good things about this place. The meals were huge but the food was poor. Reminded me of the old Woody Allen joke “The food here is terrible…and in such small portions.
Service was ok which is why it got 2 stars instead of 1.
Should have gone for the kebab instead of a sit down. -

Excellent food and service at Sahara. Ate in and their meals are huge. Would highly recommend and will definately be going back. Staff are very freindly and am looking forward to our next visit to Wellington so we can head back there again.

I ate at this cafe very recently with my daughter who was visiting from the UK. We had a shared starter and a main course each. The food and service were excellent. Portions were very generous. Staff were friendly. I’ll go there again and I’m planning to take my wife along this time. She couldn’t make it the other day!!! Looking forward to the next visit.

I love the kebabs at Sahara – they beat any other on Courtney place. Friendly staff and same price to order a kebab and eat in on the tables rather than takeaway.
I have previously been there for dinner which was all good also .. but I rate the kebabs better!
