we ordered a Chicken Corn Soup $9, to my surprise it came in a rice bowl size; a Beef Fillet Chinese Style $25 and i counted there are about 10 pieces of meat, it is surely enough to feed a kid but not an adult for dinner; at last, a Singaporean Rice Noodles $18.5, for that price, i could had two dishes else where.

sum up, if you want to have a chinese food that value for your money, this is not the place to be!

The place sure has gone downhill of late, with very poor service, mixed up orders and substantially overpriced for what are now mean portions!

Their window display suggests they have won numerous accolades for their food but these are very old indeed and part of their once successful past. Have they won any awards recently; I don’t think so and hope not, as there are great Chinese eateries close by that make Yangtze look very ordinary, with prices that are wishful thinking.

As with so many struggling restaurants, they seem to think that by filling the plate with very cheap vegetables and substantially reducing the meat content of dishes, makes everything look good and never mind value for money!

Very poor all round place and to be avoided…unless you enjoy being ripped off, served badly and are heading towards vegetarianism!

Not recommended. After coming here for over 12 years as loyal patrons the standard of food and service is sadly now below the rating of poor.

The owners appear to be cutting costs with smaller dishes, lack of sauce on dishes and bringing in food rather than making it themselves (wontons and other entree dishes). Not recommended, RIP Yangtze, it’s time to retire.

The portions were reasonably sized. Our mains were pleasant but not spectacular, but the vegetables seemed old and somewhat overcooked.

It was an expensive meal for two people and there are better value asian restaurants close by. Unfortunately I will not be rushing back to eat here again.

On a positive note though, the service by the waiting staff was good.

Called in for lunch a few times. Rather quiet recently, but guess it doesnt get the foot traffic.
Food is of good quality and staff are friendy
